Travis ‘Thommo’ Thompson
Owner & Director
Travis ‘Thommo’ is the face of Indigie Resource Group, a family-oriented and proud Noongar man from the South-West region of Western Australia and a traditional owner of the land. As a committee member of the South-West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council, Thommo is deeply connected to his community and committed to fostering opportunities for growth. With 37 years of experience in the construction and mining industries, his expertise spans site civil works, utilities, bulk earthworks, and civil contract management. Thommo has been and continues to be involved in high-profile projects such as RAAF Bullsbrook, RAAF Learmonth, Western Ridge Crusher, Whaleback Village Expansion, and Iron Bridge to name a few, always prioritising client satisfaction. He takes pride in offering positions that support people’s industry growth, sharing his deep knowledge and experience to mentor and develop the next generation of industry professionals.
William Thompson
Cultural Advisor
William ‘Billy-T’ is Indigie Resource Group’s Cultural Advisor, an Aboriginal Elder, and a valued member of the Aboriginal Land & Sea Council. A local to Geraldton and the Northwest until his early 20s, Billy-T brings extensive work and life experience within the Mining and Civil Construction industry across Western Australia. After serving 27 years in the Armed Forces, he returned home to actively contribute to his community. For the past 15 years, he has served as Chairperson of the Southwest Boojarah (Busselton Area), forging strong partnerships between his communities and industry. His deep cultural knowledge and guidance are integral to ensuring respectful and meaningful engagement on all IRG projects
Harley Thompson
Director & Project Lead
Harley is the oldest of Thommo's three children and has been working within the family business since it started. With over 10 years’ experience in the Mining, Construction and Poly Welding industries, his skillset has allowed him to work across numerous locations throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea. Harley is the Indigie Resource Group Project Lead and is involved in most client negotiations. You will often find Harley on the tools and heading remote site meetings. Harley has recently become a Director of the family business, further strengthening his leadership role and long-term commitment to the company.
Barbara Thompson
Accounts Manager
Barbara is Thommo’s wife and truly the glue that holds the IRG family business together. As the Accounts and Payroll Manager, Barbs plays a vital role in keeping the financial and administrative heartbeat of the company running smoothly. With over 15 years of experience in the mining and civil construction industry alongside Thommo, she brings a deep understanding and wealth of knowledge to the team. Barbs is always happy to assist with any accounts or payroll enquiries and is frequently involved in client meetings, ensuring strong, consistent communication across the business.
Melissa Dunne
Office Manager & HSE Representative
Melissa is Indigie Resource Group’s Office Manager and plays a key role in overseeing and supporting all departments across the business. With a background as the company’s Document and Tender Coordinator, Mobilisation Officer and Health and Safety Representative, Melissa brings extensive knowledge and continuity to the team. Having worked alongside Barbs and Thommo since the inception of Indigie Group in 2019, she has been integral throughout the transition to Indigie Resource Group. Melissa is often seen attending client meetings and visiting sites, ensuring strong communication and operational alignment across the company.
