Indigie Resource Group is a 100% Australian owned and Indigenous operated Civil Contracting Company, founded by Travis Thompson, a proud Wardandi Noongar man from the South-West Region of Western Australia.
With more than two decades of experience in civil construction and having previously operated a successful construction labour hire business under the Indigie Group name, Travis recognised a significant gap in opportunities for Aboriginal people and individuals from diverse backgrounds to enter, develop and establish themselves within the civil construction industry. Throughout his career, Travis saw first-hand the value that people from different backgrounds, experiences and skill sets could bring to a project, while also recognising that many were not being given the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
Driven by a strong belief in family, inclusion and opportunity, Travis expanded into civil contracting in 2021, establishing Indigie Resource Group. From the beginning, the business has been built around more than simply delivering projects — it is about building relationships, creating opportunities and supporting people to develop long-term careers.
As the business grew, Travis brought his son, Harley Thompson, into the company as Project Lead and Director. Harley has played a significant role in the continued growth of Indigie Resource Group, bringing more than 10 years of experience across the mining, construction and polywelding industries. Having worked his way through hands-on roles on site, Harley understands the challenges faced by employees and contractors and leads by example through his strong work ethic, practical skills and commitment to getting the job done safely and professionally.
Harley is also a key part of the relationships Indigie Resource Group has developed with its clients and workforce. His approachable and down-to-earth nature allows him to build genuine connections with clients, project teams and employees, creating an environment where people feel comfortable communicating, contributing ideas and raising concerns. His ability to work alongside people at all levels, combined with his practical site knowledge, has become an important strength of the business.

Today, Indigie Resource Group continues to build strong partnerships across the Western Australian civil and mining industries, providing integrated civil, utilities, labour and project support services. We are committed to creating meaningful pathways for Indigenous people and people from diverse backgrounds through employment, mentoring, training and collaboration.
In the last financial year, Indigie Resource Group achieved 80% growth in jobs created compared to the previous year.
